Los Cancajos Beach is located in the east of the island of La Palma, two kilometres north of the airport and another two kilometres south of the island's capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma. The beach is a bay protected by a volcanic rock breakwater that offers calm waters all year round and an enormous wealth of underwater life. Therefore, it is ideal for trying your hand at diving and getting started in this aquatic activity. With warm black sand and little waves, the semi-urban beach of Los Cancajos allows you to practice cavern diving and snorkelling. It has toilets, showers and rental of parasols and hammocks. It has parking, connections to bus services and access for people with reduced mobility. There are several restaurants nearby where you can try delicious fresh fish by the sea, as well as hotels and apartments for a truly relaxing holiday in La Palma. If you want to visit the rest of the island, it is best to have your vehicle, but in the centre of Los Cancajos, you do not need a car as everything is very close especially the beach.
